Supporting SeeSaw on your wedding day

Congratulations on your engagement. Your wedding day will create memories that last a lifetime. By choosing to support SeeSaw on your wedding day you can help us give hope to children and young people when they have been bereaved or when somebody close to them is terminally ill.

Instead of receiving the usual presents for your wedding, why not ask your friends and family to donate. Set up a fundraising page on JustGiving and encourage your guests to donate in lieu of wedding gifts.

Facebook Birthdays

Setting up a Facebook fundraiser in aid of SeeSaw is a wonderful way to celebrate your birthday and every pound you raise will help support children, young people, and their families.

Your friends and family will be able to easily donate to your Facebook fundraiser without paying fees on donations, so all the money you raise will come straight to SeeSaw.

Each donor on Facebook has the option to GiftAid their donation meaning that SeeSaw receives an extra 25% on top of their donation at no extra cost. To read more about GiftAid click here.

 

Raising £120 could cover the cost of 5 hours of telephone support for a family after the loss of a loved one. 

To start a Facebook fundraiser, see our simple guide below:

From a desktop: 

    1. Visit this website
    2. Fill in the details of your fundraiser, including the amount of money you want to raise, your fundraiser end date, the fundraiser title, and why you’re raising money.
    3. Then click ‘Create’, and start fundraising!
    4. Don’t forget to ‘share’ your page and ‘invite’ your friends and family to donate

From a mobile phone:  

    1. Log into Facebook
    2. Touch the three lines icon on the top bar (next to the bell icon)
    3. Scroll down and touch ‘Community resources’
    4. Touch ‘Fundraisers’
    5. Touch ‘Select charity’
    6. Search for ‘SeeSaw’
    7. Fill in the details of your fundraiser, including the amount of money you want to raise, the fundraiser title, and why you’re raising money
    8. Then touch ‘Create’ and start fundraising!
    9.  Don’t forget to ‘share’ your page and ‘invite’ your friends and family to donate
