What can SeeSaw do?

After death disrupts a young life, it helps to talk and it’s vital to listen. That's why SeeSaw support workers are trained to understand the needs of grieving children. They work both with individual children and families.

We are able to put people who are struggling with similar bereavement issues in touch with each other so that they can share experiences, ideas and activities. SeeSaw also organises activities and outings for families so that mutual support systems can be established and nurtured

SeeSaw also offers a school support programme. This helps ensure that staff are adequately prepared for a death within the school community. When children receive appropriate support from their school it can help them cope with their grief and minimise the educational and behavioural difficulties that grieving children may experience.
