Blenheim 7km (and 1 mile Junior Run) 29 April 2018

The 7km course is suitable for all ages and abilities, offering a challenging run for the more experienced and beautiful surroundings for beginners and those taking a leisurely pace. The 1 mile junior race (for under 15s) starts half an hour before the main race, so offers a great family day out. Race entry includes access to the beautiful palace grounds. Bike Oxford - 20 May 2018

If you're looking for a brilliant cycling challenge for 2018 then why not take on Bike Oxford in support of SeeSaw? Bike Oxford is a day of marked rides of 25, 50 and 80 miles starting and finishing at Oxford University Rugby Club on Iffley Road, and taking in the best scenery of Oxford and the surrounding countryside.

The Banbury Triathlon - 20 May 2018

This triathlon offers sprint or super sprint distances in a 50m (heated) open air pool, a 20km bike ride in the rolling Oxfordshire countryside and a 5km run on an ‘out and back’ course.

Rare Plant Fair, Kingston Bagpuize – 27 May 2018

The Rare Plant Fair is held in the beautiful and prestigious garden at Kingston Bagpuize House. An enjoyable experience for everyone, whether a novice or experienced gardener. There’s the opportunity to buy interesting and unusual plants from nurseries offering well-grown plants and advice. SeeSaw is very grateful to receive a donation from this event. 

Walk the Thames, 28 May 2018 (Bank Holiday)

A team of Fire Fighters from Burford Fire Station will be undertaking the challenge of walking the length of the River Thames from its source in Kemble to the Thames Barrier. The 184 mile walk will take six days to complete and is in aid of SeeSaw and The Fire Fighters Charity. 

A group of SeeSaw supporters plan to take part in a section of the walk on the 28th May, starting at 11.30am at Swinford Toll Bridge. Our walkers have the choice of walking a 5, 10 or 15 mile stretch of the Thames path. It costs £15 to register and walkers are asked to aim for  £100 in sponsorship, to be split between the two charities. 


The Virgin Sport British 10k Presented by ASICS - 15 July 2018

The iconic British 10K, presented by ASICS, returns to the streets of Westminster on Sunday 15th July 2018. It is the  ultimate  tour  of  Central  London,  where  runners  pass  by  iconic  landmarks including  Trafalgar  Square,  the Embankment, Big Ben and more, on closed roads.This headline running event will include a British Street Party - with a twist! In addition to a flat, fast 10K past London's famed sites, there will be music at every kilometre encouraging runners to pound the streets to the beat. 

SeeSaw has a small number of FREE places for this fantastic event and runners are asked to raise £150 in sponsorship. Runners will also receive a SeeSaw running vest. Contact Lucy to register your place now!


The Thames Path Challenge - 8-9 September 2018

100km, 50km, 25km or 10km. A stunning route with scenery steeped in history. Choose from one of 3 unique events:

The 'Main Thames Path Challenge' – walk, jog or run the 25km, 50km or 100km route to Henley. 

Or there’s the 'Thames Bridges Trek' - 25k from Putney Bridge, zig-zagging over 16 historic bridges, and finishing beyond Tower Bridge.

On Sunday it's 'The Henley 10K' for all the family to enjoy down by the river.


Abingdon Dragon Boat Festival - 9 September 2018

Teams of 18 people compete in traditional dragon boat races along the Thames in Abingdon. This is a great event for large groups or corporate teams as no experience is necessary and it suits all abilities. Be prepared to get a bit wet! 

Organised by the Rotary Club of Abingdon Vesper, the event is also a great day out with lots of stallholders and delicious food, drink and entertainment. 


SeeSaw Abseil - 22 September, 2018

A rare opportunity to enjoy the breathtaking views of Oxford from the roof of the John Radcliffe hospital before taking on the 100ft abseil. Participants will pay a £25 registration fee and are asked to raise £200 in sponsorship. A really incredible personal challenge - contact Lucy for more info. 


Oxford Half Marathon - 7 October 2018

Join our SeeSaw Stars for next year’s Oxford Half, taking in some of Oxford’s most beautiful sights. Contact Lucy to reserve your place entries are now open. 


Abingdon Marathon - 21 October 2018

There is a strict 5-hour time limit for this first class event. Contact Lucy if you are interested in taking part or if you would like to join our team of volunteers who help with marshalling and refreshments on the day.
