- Challenge events can offer a great incentive to get fitter and healthier.
- There are many events to take part in, from running and cycling events, to challenges that test your nerve such as firewalks, abseils and sky dives.
- By raising funds through sponsorship we can add Gift Aid on donations which contributes an extra £10,000 each year to SeeSaw.
- SeeSaw attends various community events taking place in Oxfordshire throughout the year
- As well as being an opportunity to generate additional funds, by having a presence at local events we are raising awareness about the work that we do with children and their families across the county

Sunday 13 August - Cowley Classic Car Show 2017
An extravaganza of all things automotive, featuring many Cowley built vehicles. SeeSaw is very fortunate to be the main charity beneficiary of the event which is organised by the Oxford Isis Rotary Club.
We will have a stall on the day with children's activities and a tombola. One of our therapy dogs, Cindy, will also be taking part in the dog show! Join us for this fantastic event this August.
Sunday 3 September - Dragon Boat Racing
Enter a team to raise funds for SeeSaw in the 2017 Rotary Dragon Boat Festival on the Thames in Abingdon. A great day out for the whole family with craft stalls, a funfair, children's entertainment, BBC, tea and cakes, real ale beer tent. Details about the event and how you can enter a team can be found here
Saturday 9/Sunday 10 September
The Thames Path is unique - beautiful scenery that's steeped in history. A superb backdrop for an incredible challenge. Take on the full 100km trek (Putney Bridge to Henley), or either a 50km half or 25km quarter section. There's lots of support along the way, with food and drink, medics and massage facilities on hand.
It's a great way to challenge yourself and raise money for SeeSaw in the process. Contact Lucy to find out how to get involved.
Sunday 8 October - Oxford Half Marathon
We have 25 places on this year's Oxford Half Marathon. The route showcases some of Oxford's most beautiful sights. Click here to find out more about the event and how to register your place.
Sunday 22 October - Abingdon Marathon
SeeSaw has places available for experienced runners to take part in the prestigious Abingdon Marathon. Because this race is a championship qualifier participants need to be able to complete it in 5 hours or less. There is a £35 fee payable to SeeSaw to secure your place and we would ask runners to aim to raise at least £300 in sponsorship. A SeeSaw running vest will be provided.
Volunteers Needed: The Abingdon Marathon has supported SeeSaw for many years and in return for a generous donation we provide volunteers to man water-stations and help with marshalling. So if running isn't your thing then why not volunteer to help for a few hours at the event.
If you are interested in taking part or volunteering then please contact Lucy Wise, firstname.lastname@example.org
