How local businesses can help
- Charity of the Year – A member of our fundraising team will support you to ensure that you maximise the income (and fun) that your employees can have over the year.
- Providing vital services - cover the cost of some of our ongoing expenses, for example paying our utility bills.
- Sponsored events – Enter a team to take part in a sponsored event such as a run, walk, cycling event or dragon boat racing.
- Payroll giving scheme – Encourage staff to make a small, regular tax-efficient donation through our payroll giving scheme.
- Volunteering – There are many activities and events throughout the year when we need volunteers. Please check our events section for details.
Please contact our fundraiser Jane Elliott on 01865 744786 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in finding out more about how your organisation could support SeeSaw.
Here are some of the organisations that have supported SeeSaw recently, listed in alphabetical order.
Staff at Elsevier Limited, Oxford support Seesaw as our December charity as part of RECares. We hold a Christmas Fayre which includes external stall holder coming on site and selling Christmas goods to staff, a Company-wide raffle and a cake sale. All the proceeds from this event go directly to Seesaw which is a local charity that we are always keen to support and help to raise their profile in any way we can.
Jennings and Monument Community Trust (MCT) know things aren’t easy for the voluntary sector. Local charities and community groups are facing more challenges than ever. At Jennings and MCT we work together to find the best ways to help. SeeSaw is a wonderful charity making lives of others better in some way. We have helped & supported SeeSaw in many different ways, on the challenges they’re facing at the time, fundraising, advice, connections and raising profile. Working with SeeSaw is a privilege and we find it humbling and fascinating to hear the great things that are being achieved and love being part of it in some way.
The M Group
We are always keen to help SeeSaw in any way we can. They are a dedicated local Charity that rely entirely on supporters for their funding. Their support team do a wonderful job, operating in a very sensitive and difficult area, providing hope and help to bereaved children and families when they most need it. The fundraiser always takes the time to show the appreciation for any donation, however small, and will attend events when possible. Our team always enjoy the fundraising events and feel proud we have helped such a hard working charity in some way.
The Oxfordshire Project
The Oxfordshire Project's mission is to create a vibrant community for both businesses and charities alike to come together, collaborate, educate, knowledge share and support each other against the back drop of our informal and enjoyable business networking meetings. Our unique network provides inspiration for entrepreneurs and a platform to help businesses grow alongside an opportunity for people to give back to their local community.
The Rooflight Company
Following a companywide vote in 2016, SeeSaw was chosen as one of four charities the Rooflight Company would support. As the majority of the Rooflight Company employees live in Oxfordshire, the benefits of the work that SeeSaw carry out and the support they provide for young people in Oxfordshire, is something that all of the Rooflight Company employees may need to call upon in the future. Learning that SeeSaw depends on volunteers for so many different areas of the services they provide emphasises how much they rely on donations. As a company also based in Oxfordshire, we were proud to be able to help them.
It is the first time RPS has chosen to work with a dedicated charity and is long overdue according to Managing Director Simon Ayris. “It’s something we know we should have been doing for a while but you get bogged down in the day-to-day running of the business,” Simon explains. “But after hearing about SeeSaw and the amazing work they do, I knew it was the perfect fit for us.”
As well as getting his 20-strong workforce in fundraising, with some already looking at half-marathons, open water swimming and even a firewalk, RPS is also looking to spread awareness of SeeSaw but including their logo on every car they prepare for an endurance rally, with events and clients from all over the world.
Luxury Italian appliance manufacturer, Smeg, is proud to announce it has named SeeSaw Oxfordshire as its Charity of the Year 2017. Every year, Smeg UK supports a local or national cause that the whole company dedicates its volunteering and fundraising efforts for the forthcoming 12 months. This year, Smeg has chosen a local charity that demonstrates the company’s dedicated passion and excitement for supporting its local community of Abingdon and the surrounding Oxfordshire county.
Supporting others less fortunate than ourselves is key to the ethos amongst the staff at STL Communications and we actively support a number of charities including SeeSaw. The team regularly holds cake sales, fancy dress days and other fun fundraising events to raise money for SeeSaw. STL Communications is also delighted to be able to support SeeSaw in a more practical way, by donating a second-hand telephone system to the charity and providing free outbound phone calls to help them support more bereaved children and young people across Oxfordshire.
Royds Withy King
SeeSaw offer an invaluable service to both children and families in the local Oxfordshire area. It is very important to our firm that we support this excellent work to ensure more families can benefit. The fundraising events we have taken part in have been great for building team spirit, and also offer a chance to meet some of the people helped by SeeSaw over the years. From firewalking to cake sales and a cheese and wine evening, it is a privilege to raise vital funds for SeeSaw and have a laugh along the way! Making and seeing a difference is very fulfilling for everyone at Royds Withy King, and we always look to find new ways we can contribute even more to our communities.
